Ingestion Rules
Automate document reception by configuring rules that process them without manual intervention.
What are ingestion rules?
Ingestion rules allow you to receive documents automatically from different channels (email, API, cloud storage) and process them with a predefined extraction template. This eliminates the need to upload documents manually.

Create a rule
- Go to Ingestion Rules and click "New rule".
- Select the reception channel (email, API, or S3).
- Configure the match criteria (e.g. emails from "invoices@vendor.com").
- Select the extraction template that will be applied automatically.
- Assign a priority if you have multiple rules that may match.
- Activate the rule.
Use cases
- Receive vendor invoices by email and extract the data automatically.
- Process identity documents sent by a mobile app via API.
- Detect new contracts uploaded to a shared S3 folder.
