What are PDF templates?

PDF templates let you design professional documents (quotes, reports, certificates, invoices, contracts) that are automatically generated with data from your platform. The free-form visual editor lets you position texts, images, tables, and dynamic fields exactly where you need them.

Create a template

1. Go to the PDF Templates section and click "New template".
2. The visual editor will open with a blank page-sized canvas.
3. Drag components onto the canvas: texts, images, tables, separator lines.
4. Insert dynamic variables using the {{field}} syntax so they are replaced with real data when generated.
5. Configure branding: add your organization's logo, corporate colors, and typography.
6. Preview and publish the template.

Generate PDFs automatically

Once the template is published, you can generate PDFs in several ways: manually from a form response, automatically within a workflow, or via API. Generated PDFs are stored securely and can be downloaded or sent by email.

Document integrity

Each generated PDF includes a SHA-256 hash that guarantees its integrity. If someone modifies the document externally, the hash will not match and the platform will detect it. This is essential for regulatory and legal documents.
